EDA: All COVID-19 Vaccines in Egypt Safe, Effective

On Wednesday, the Egyptian Cabinet media center denied all myths related to COVID-19 vaccines. Also, the Egyptian Drug Authority (EDA) asserted that all vaccines in Egypt are safe and effective.

The authority added that COVID-19 vaccines available in the state are in a continuous process of observation and evaluation.  Moreover, there are no incompatibilities between the vaccines and anesthetic drugs.

Moreover, it urged the citizens to ask for medical consultation about the components of the medicines they have before vaccination.

Egypt started its vaccination campaign last year by vaccinating the medical staff members in the hospitals related to COVID-19 treatments (isolation hospitals).

The state mainly depends on the Chinese Sinopharm alongside other vaccines such as AstraZeneca.

It will also start manufacturing the Chinese Sinovac locally, in addition to receiving various vaccine batches such as Sputnik V, and Johnson & Johnson.
