Egypt’s Ministry of Health revealed on Monday important five facts about the AstraZeneca vaccine.
"AstraZeneca vaccine is safe, effective, and does not cause a Coronavirus infection," the ministry said in an infograph posted on ‘Facebook’.
Moreover, it added that the vaccination course consists of two doses of 0.5 ml each, separated by a 3-month period. It is injected into the deltoid muscle.
The ministry also stressed that AstraZeneca has a strong role in stimulating the immune system to form antibodies against the virus, pointing out that it is a viral vector vaccine.
It is worth mentioning, health ministry called on citizens to register for receiving the vaccine on the website or to visit the nearest health unit office.
