Dua Lipa to Star in Movie "Peaked"

Grammy-winning pop star Dua Lipa has signed up to star in the A24 movie "Peaked".

Character details are under wraps. Molly Gordon directs from a script he co-wrote with Allie Levitan.

"Peaked" follows the two girls who traumatized you in high school as they try to relive their glory days at their 10-year reunion.

The cast also includes Gordon, Emma Mackey, Connor Storrie, Laura Dern, Simone Ashley, Levon Hawke, Mitra Jouhari, Gabby Windey, Amy Sedaris, Owen Thiele, Jaya Harper, Emil Wakim, and Alex Consani.

A24 is financing the project and producing alongside David Hinojosa, Zach Nutman, and Gordon, with Levitan exec producing.

Principal photography is slated to begin next month.

An English singer-songwriter who has won three Grammys and seven Brit Awards, Lipa broke out with her self-titled debut album in 2017, which produced multiple international hits, including “New Rules.”

She followed that up with 2020’s "Future Nostalgia," featuring hit singles like “Don’t Start Now,” “Levitating,” and “Break My Heart,” the album earned her the Grammy for Best Pop Vocal Album in 2021.

Lipa’s most recent album, "Radical Optimism," released in 2024.

On screen, she played Mermaid Barbie in 2023’s blockbuster "Barbie" and lent “Dance the Night” to its soundtrack.

The singer followed up with the role of LaGrange in "Argylle" a year later, where she played Henry Cavill’s love interest.

She also made multiple appearances on Saturday Night Live both as host and musical guest.
