Dr. Mohamed Ismail Khaled Welcomes Will Smith at the Giza Pyramids

International superstar Will Smith visited the Giza Plateau today to explore one of the most iconic landmarks of human civilization. He was received by Dr. Mohamed Ismail Khaled, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council of Antiquities, who welcomed the actor and provided insights into the historic site’s secrets and the ancient Egyptian civilization’s enduring legacy, as well as recent major archaeological discoveries across the country.

During the meeting, Smith showed a profound interest in the historical and archaeological details presented. He expressed his admiration for the site and promised the Secretary-General that he would return to Egypt this coming spring with his family for an extended visit.

Mr. Ashraf Mohie El-Din, Director General of the Giza Plateau, accompanied Smith on a comprehensive tour inside the Great Pyramid of Khufu. The actor explored the internal chambers and corridors and took several commemorative photos. Smith expressed his deep awe at the grandeur and uniqueness of the Egyptian civilization, noting its indelible mark on human history.

This visit marks a return for the Hollywood star, who previously visited Egypt with his family in 2017, where they shared their admiration for the beauty and magnificence of the Pyramids.
