Donia Samir Ghanem's Film Gets Title

The official title for Egyptian singer-actress Donia Samir Ghanem's next film has been revealed. 

Principal photography is scheduled to begin in the coming days under the title of "Doody Gard."

The project is set to premiere during the Eid al-Fitr movie marathon.

Ghanem made her most recent on-screen appearance in the film “Taslim Ahali”.

The film also starred the actress’ late mother Dalal Abdel Aziz as well as Hesham Maged, Bayoumi Fouad, Ahmed Fathy, Amr Wahba, and others.

It is scripted by Sherif Nagib and directed by Khaled El-Halfawy.

The film marks Ghanem’s comeback to the big screen after six years of absence. The actress made her last cinematic appearance in the 2019 film, “Laf W Dawaran”.

The actress was born on January 1, 1985, to an artistic family; she is the daughter of renowned actor Samir Ghanem and actress Dalal Abdulaziz; her sister, Amal— known as Amy— is also an actress.

Ghanem’s talents appeared when she was a child, participating in school plays and shows.

The actress made her acting debut in 2001’s TV series “Leladala Wogouh Katheera” (Justice has many faces).

In 2005, Ghanem made her first film appearance in renowned comedy actor Mohamed Henedi’s film “Ya Ana Ya Khalty”.

She released her first song “Farh el Sen” in 2010.

In 2015, she was a judge on season 4 of “The X Factor” Arabia version along with Lebanese singers Elissa and Ragheb Alama.

Ghanem is best known for her work on the television shows “Leladala Wogouh Katheera”, “El Kabeer Awy”, “Lahfa”, “Nelly and Sherihan”, “In Lala Land”, and “badal el hadouta 3”.

She is also known for her roles in films “El-Farah”, “You Fly”, “Ezbet Adam”, “La Taragoa Wala Esteslam”, “X-Large”, and “365 Days of Happiness”.
