Dominican Republic will participate for the first time at Cairo International Book Fair (CIBF) in the 54th edition which will take place between January 25 to February 6.
The embassy of the Dominican Republic said in a statement that world-recognized author Rosa Silverio will participate in the CIBF activities in Cairo.
The country's pavilion will be opened on Thursday.
54th Cairo International Book Fair (CIBF 54) will be ready for receiving public on January 26 instead of January 25.
CIBF is the most important book fair in the middle east and the second biggest book fair worldwide.
This year's edition will be held under the theme of "Culture and Awareness," in addition, Jordan was announced as CIBF 54th's guest of honor.
Legendary author and poet was named the forthcoming event's figure.
On January 25, people who received invitations, authors, publishers, and businessmen will have access to the halls of the CIBF.
On the following day, the public will be able to visit the event and tour the CIBF's different halls from 10 am to 8 pm.
The working hours for Thursdays and Fridays will be between 10 am and 9 pm.
A number of buses are dedicated to being in the service of the CIBF visitors, in addition, the buses will depart from different squares and areas in Cairo.
