Denis Bronnikov, expert of the Russian House inaugurated a puppet exhibition entitled "My Doll Goes to Russia" on behalf of Murad Gatin, Director of the Russian Cultural Centers in Egypt, in the presence of Sherif Gad, Director of the Egyptian Association of Graduates of Russian and Soviet Universities Sherif Gad
The exhibition included a large group of dolls designed and implemented by the artist Sarah Mohamed Salah, who was distinguished by making handmade dolls.
The artist linked the art of puppetry and folk tales, in addition to real puppet characters - Finding a voice, and also embodied the famous Russian doll, the "Matryoshka", in an Egyptian spirit, within the framework of the cultural exchange between the two cultures.
Bronnikov pointed out in his opening speech that the works of Sarah are distinguished because they are handcrafted, as everything that is made by hand comes from the heart and soul, a thing that made him welcome the Egyptian artists to present their creations inside the Russian House in Cairo.
On his part, Gad indicated that the works of Sarah are distinguished by linking the dolls to folklore, presenting natural models of average daily lives.
The artist had presented an art workshop, and a lectures for children on how to make dolls, where a number of children participated in doll making classes with their own hands, in an extremely exciting experience for them.
