According to the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE), the US dollar fell on Tuesday against the Egyptian pound to record EGP 16.38 to buy and EGP 16.51 to sell, approaching EGP 16 Barrier.
The average exchange rate of the dollar stood at EGP 16.41 for buying and EGP 16.51 for sale, falling 2-3 piasters in major banks.
The highest price of the dollar was registered at EGP 16.43 to buy and EGP 16.53 to sell at the Baraka Bank, while the lowest price was observed at the United Bank at EGP 16.39 to buy and EGP 16.49 to sell.
The US dollar exchange rate continued its downward trend during Sunday’s trading, falling by 2-3 piastres against the Egyptian pound.
The dollar rate dropped by 2 piastres at the National Bank of Egypt (NBE) and Banque Misr, recording EGP 16.41 for buying and EGP 16.51 for selling.
At the Commercial International Bank (CIB), the dollar price went down by the same amount to register EGP 16.39 for buying and EGP 16.49 for selling.
The greenback stood at EGP 16.41 for buying and EGP 16.51 for selling at the Arab African International Bank (AAIB).
As for the National Bank of Greece, the exchange rate fell only 1 piastre at EGP 16.43 for buying and 16.53 for selling.
