The first tourist trip organized by the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, represented in the Egyptian General Authority for Tourism Promotion (EGATP), was launched from Fayoum Governorate, as part of "Discover Egypt" campaign program.
Eng. Ahmed Youssef, CEO of the Egyptian General Authority for Tourism Promotion, indicated that this campaign aims at spreading tourism and archaeological awareness among all society's segments, to promote the domestic tourism movement.
He also added that a number of young Egyptian bloggers and influencers, who are interested in tourism and travel, take part in this campaign.
He added that the Fayoum trip will last for 3 days. The program of the visit includes Tunis village and its orchards in which rare bird species live, Wadi Al Rayan, Qusour al Arab camp, Enchanted Lake, Jabal Al Mudawara, Wadi El-Hitan, and the Petrified Forest, as well as the famous waterways in Fayoum.
Moreover, Youssef explained that Egyptian bloggers' and influencers' participation comes in light of the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities’s interest in modernizing marketing mechanisms and community involvement, especially youth as partners in the tourism promotion process for Egypt.
