Rumors have been swirling in the past 24 hours about Egyptian actor Ahmed El-Sakka and his wife, TV presenter Maha Al Sagheer have called it quits for the third time.
Speculations arose after Al Sagheer shared on Facebook a piece of advice to her followers about getting a divorce and finding happiness.
“You will continue to bear the pain and humiliation, and in the end your life will be wasted and no one will thank you. Divorce is difficult, but what is more difficult is living without a soul in a soulless body that does not know the meaning of happiness. Find where your happiness lays and go for it, otherwise, your life go to waste,” she said.
The post drew the attention of the couple's followers on social media who were puzzled about whether it was an an announcement of their separation or merely a bit of advice to women who face marginalization from their husbands.
However, El-Sakka was quick to shut down the rumors and affirmed his marital life is stable and is currently spending a lot of time with his wife and children after the end of the Ramadan 2024 drama marathon, during which he participated with the TV series "El Atawla".
The actor added that he does not know the source behind this rumor, especially at the current time, which is witnessing the success of the series and the approach of the release of his latest film Al Serb.
"While I didn't care about these rumors before, but it has been repeated frequently in the recent period and legal action must be taken against those who spread the rumor of my separation from my wife Maha Al Sagheer from time to time," El-Sakka continued.
El Sakka and Al Sagheer tied the knot on November 17, 1999, and welcomed together Yassin, Hamza, and Nadia.
