Lebanese superstar Diana Haddad started trending this week after she deleted all her photos on social media and went on hiatus.
The action had left many puzzled over whether she has decided to retire or if this was just a publicity stunt.
In a statement on Tuesday, Helmy Bashir, the acclaimed singer's manager, weighs in on her disappearance and retirement rumors.
"Yesterday, I contacted Diana Haddad on the phone. She told me that she is stepping away from social media right now," he stated.
Bashir added that confirmed that Haddad will answer all her fans' questions in the coming days.
"I do not know how it will happen, whether through a TV channel or the social media, but she is fine," he added.
Before Haddad went on hiatus, she was last seen donning a veil and standing in front of the Great Mosque of Mecca in Saudia Arabia, which sparked speculation about her conversion to Islam.
Haddad is one of the most popular singers in the Arab World.
The superstar’s breakthrough came in late 1997 when she released her third album “Ammanih”, which featured her popular single of the same title.
Haddad’s debut album “Saken” (1996) was one of the best-selling albums of that year. The album also introduced the singer and her Bedouin music style to the public.
