Lebanese superstar Diana Haddad will perform live at the Khorfakkan Amphitheatre, in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, on Friday, December 3.
The event is Haddad's first time performing at the cultural landmark and comes on the sidelines of the 51st UAE National Day celebrations.
The National Day, “Al Yawm Al Watani”, is celebrated annually on December 2.
The day commemorates UAE’s formal nationalization and the start of the federal unification of the emirates in 1971, when the six small Gulf kingdoms of Abu Dhabi, Ajman, Dubai, Fujairah, Sharjah, and Umm Al-Quwain joined together to form one federation.
A seventh emirate, Ras Al Khaimah, was integrated into the union early the following year, completing the formation of the nation known today.
This occasion marks a sincere reflection of the federation’s journey rich in monumental events and achievements, building on the foundation that was first laid down by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and his brothers, the fellow founding fathers.
Sharjah will host events at key tourist and cultural destinations from November 24 to December 3, shedding light on the country's achievements, history, and heritage for a whole month.
