The National Museum of the Egyptian Civilization received today, Saturday, a high-profile delegation of Agence universitaire de la francophonie (AUF) chaired by Dr. Sliem Khalbous, Chairman of the agency on the sideline of their visit to Egypt.
Dr. Abeer Abu El Magd, an archeologist at the NMEC, accompanied the visiting delegation over a tour inside the central main hall and the hall of mummies.
She explained to members of the delegation all contents on show in addition to shed the light on the stages of building the NMEC and opening of its various halls.
The delegation expressed their admiration at the museum and its archeological treasuries.
Dr. Sliem Khalbous was keen on writing down a comment in the registry of visits of the museum.
He expressed his delight at visiting that great edifice and he described it as an important accomplishment to secure the Egyptian heritage throughout history.
He affirmed that the agency cherishes its fruitful cooperation with the Egyptian government and the Egyptian universities in fields of culture and sciences.
Also, a delegation of the Association of National Olympic Committees of Africa (ANOCA) visited the NMEC today during their attendance in Egypt to participate in the General Assembly of the association.
Representatives of fifty-four African countries came to Egypt in take part in the upcoming meeting.
The member delegation of the ANOCA expressed their amazement at what they saw of masterpieces of the time-honored Egyptian civilization.
