The official Superman teaser trailer will be released on Thursday, but Warner Bros. and James Gunn are giving fans a glimpse of what’s to come with the first footage of Emmy winner Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane.
The short clip shows Brosnahan’s Lois Lane staring at what appears to be a live feed inside the Daily Planet newsroom. She’s surrounded by other Daily Planet journalists Jimmy Olsen (Skyler Gisondo), Steve Lombard (Beck Bennett), Cat Grant (Mikaela Hoover), and Ron Troupe (Christopher McDonald).
Written and directed by Gunn, "Superman" stars David Corenswet as the titular Kal-El aka Daily Planet reporter Clark Kent.
The superhero movie, originally titled “Superman: Legacy,” also stars Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, Sara Sampaio as Eve Teschmacher, Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, Edi Gathegi as Mister Terrific, Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner the Green Lantern, Anthony Carrigan as Metamorpho, Terence Rosemore as Otis, María Gabriela de Faría as The Engineer, Wendell Pierce as Daily Planet editor Perry White, and more.
Will Reeve, son of the late Superman actor Christopher Reeve, will make a cameo playing a TV reporter in the movie.
“Superman” is set to debut in theaters on July 11, 2025, kicking off the rebooted DC Universe under the supervision of Gunn and his DC Studios co-boss Peter Safran.
