Fans got a new look at the superhero with a motion poster that paid homage to Christopher Reeve‘s iconic version of Superman.

The post also included a slowed-down interpretation of composer John Williams’ famous “Superman” theme from Reeve’s 1978 film. While Williams’ score is known for its blasting horns and triumphant tone, the poster for Gunn’s film remixes the music with a quieter, more thoughtful reimagining. The horns and brass are traded for strings, and a woman’s voice hums the iconic melody.

The poster depicts Corenswet’s Superman gazing upwards as he takes flight. The reds, blues, and yellows of his costume blur into the background of the motion poster, creating an eye-catching, high-speed effect that makes it seem like Corenswet is zooming into the sky. The tagline reads, “Look up.”

Warner Bros. also released a short teaser with the Superman logo that confirmed the timing of the trailer’s release. It repeats the “Look up” catchphrase as the famous “S” gets inverted from upside-down to right-side up.

The superhero movie, originally titled “Superman: Legacy,” will kick off the rebooted DC Universe under the supervision of Gunn and his DC Studios co-boss Peter Safran.

Corenswet stars alongside Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, Edi Gathegi as Mister Terrific, Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner the Green Lantern, Anthony Carrigan as Metamorpho, Skyler Gisondo as Jimmy Olsen, and more.

Will Reeve, son of the late Superman actor Christopher Reeve, will make a cameo playing a TV reporter in the movie.

“Superman” is set to debut in theaters on July 11, 2025.
