David Corenswet's Superman Makes Cameo in "Supergirl" Trailer

Warner Bros. and DC have unveiled a new trailer for "Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow," it’s upcoming spinoff of last summer’s "Superman".

The feature stars the “House of the Dragon” actress as the eponymous hero Kara Zor-El, the Kryptonian cousin to Superman.

It is the second film in co-CEOs James Gunn and Peter Safran’s rebooted DC Universe following 2025’s “Superman," which grossed over $618M worldwide, starring David Corenswet as the Man of Steel and Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane.

Kara Zor-El appeared briefly in "Superman" in a memorable scene, revealing she is the true owner of the dog Krypto.

In the new previewing, the titular superhero’s battles with Krem of the Yellow Hills (Matthias Schoenaerts) and more.

The footage opens with a conversation between the cousins, in which Superman tries to guide Supergirl through an emotionally difficult and isolating time.

“Hey, I was just touching base to see when you think you might be coming back,” he says. “You know, I’m just worried that you’re not going to find your stride here if you keep going off world all the time, Kara. I’m worried you’re not going to find your people.”

Supergirl responds, “Yeah, well, that’s the thing, Clark. I have no people,” then later, noting that “Home is wherever” her beloved Krypto the Superdog was. Her routine breaks after Krypto is poisoned by the henchmen of villain Krem of the Yellow Hills, with only three days to save him.

The trailer also gave a new look at Jason Momoa‘s antihero Lobo.

Elsewhere in the footage, Supergirl offers guidance to Ruthye Marye Knoll (Eve Ridley), a young woman whose father was killed by Krem and company, noting that “Revenge won’t take your pain away," nonetheless, she will not let him commit his evil acts without a fight.

"Superman" is based on the comic series “Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow” by Tom King.

The cast also includes David Krumholtz (“Oppenheimer”) and Emily Beecham (“Cruella”) as Supergirl’s parents.

DC Studios’ latest was directed by Craig Gillespie from a screenplay by Ana Nogueira.

DC Studios heads produced, with Nigel Gostelow, Chantal Nong Vo, and Lars P. Winther exec producing.

"Supergirl" opens in theaters and IMAX across North America on June 26. Check out the trailer below.
