English actor Daniel Radcliffe has reacted to rumors about him succeeding Hugh Jackman as the next Wolverine in the X-Men movie franchise.

In an interview with GQ, he noted that it was purely a press tour rumor.

"I say something and then occasionally I get bored of answering that way so I say something different, and that sets it off again. I should just never open my mouth,” stated Radcliffe.

He added being easily identifiable by a role is something he knows can be difficult to shake off and was why he doesn’t want to get locked into something that he is not sure will be able to love the same amount the whole time.

In the meantime, Wolverine will be continued to be portrayed by Jackman.

In September, Jackman confirmed he would reprise his role as Wolverine for "Deadpool 3", which is expected to be released on November 8, 2024.

He was last seen as Wolverine in 2017's "Logan", which "Deadpool" star Rayn Reynolds previously clarified won’t be touched as it's way ahead in the timeline.
