Lebanese singer-actress Dana Halabi is the latest addition to the cast of Egyptian actor Mohamed Ragab's upcoming TV series "Al Hangaly".
The series hails from director Moataz Hossam and "Haq Arab" scribe Mahmoud Hamdan. It marks the second collaboration between the duo after working on the 2022 TV series "Meshwar El Wensh".
The casting comes shortly after several media outlets reported that they got married — a claim that has yet to be confirmed or addressed by the couple.
"Al Hangaly" is set to screen during the Ramadan 2025 drama marathon.
Born in Kuwait on January 18, 1987, Halabi graduated in Interior Design from the American University of Science and Technology in 2006.
She started modeling in 2001 before launching a music career with the infamous song "Bos Alaya" in 2008 and made her acting debut in the 2018 TV series "Doret Gonya Gebiel".
In 2008, Halabi married lawyer Elie Haidar in a private ceremony in Cyprus amid the attendee of their close friends and family.
The 37-year-old artist put her career on pause during her pregnancy and announced in a press conference in May 2009 that she was taking time off to devote herself to her family.
In July 2009, she gave birth to her first child in Dubai, a boy named Carl, and welcomed two years later her second, a girl called Tamara. Halabi resumed her career after the annulment of her marriage in 2016.
