Netflix unveiled the release date for the movie adaptation of Jane Austen novel “Persuasion”.
It stars Dakota Johnson, Cosmo Jarvis, Henry Golding, Nikki Amuka-Bird, Mia McKenna-Bruce, Richard E. Grant, and others.
The movie tells the story of Anne Elliot (played by Johnson), a 27-years-old unmarried, headstrong woman living with her snobby family on the brink of bankruptcy.
She reconnects with Frederick Wentworth (Jarvis), a man she was once persuaded to reject, she faces a second chance at love.

The movie is helmed by Carrie Cracknell in her feature directorial debut from a screenplay adapted by Ron Bass and Alice Victoria Winslow.
“Persuasion” was the last novel written by Austen, the author of literary classics such as “Sense and Sensibility” “Pride and Prejudice”, and “Emma”, prior to her death in 1817.
The novel has been adapted for the screen numerous times, including the 2007 TV movie starring Sally Hawkins.
"Persuasion" debuts on Netflix on July 15.
