In line with the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities' strategy to showcase the diversity of Egypt’s tourism offerings, two significant events are currently taking place; cycling tour from Hurghada to Marsa Alam and a motorbike tour through South Sinai are drawing both local and international attention.

The cycling tour, which started in Hurghada and will end in Wadi Lahami near Marsa Alam in the Red Sea Governorate, is organized by Marassi Tourism in collaboration with the Upward Team.

It includes 55 cyclists from various nationalities, including Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Jordan. The cyclists will pass through cities such as Safaga and Abu Dabbab before reaching their final destination.

Meanwhile, the Hawks Egypt Motorbike Club, the largest motorcycle club in the Middle East, has launched its annual tour under the slogan "Helwa Ya Baladi" (My Country is Beautiful), this time focusing on South Sinai.

With around 50 participants, both Egyptian and foreign, the tour will cover locations such as Ain Sokhna, Dahab, Sharm El-Sheikh, and Saint Catherine, continuing until October 8.

Amr El-Kady, CEO of the Egyptian General Authority for Tourism Promotion, emphasized that cycling tourism, a subset of sports tourism, is becoming increasingly popular worldwide.

He highlighted how these events help promote Egypt as a global destination for such niche tourism. The tours will pass through diverse environments, including beaches, deserts, and nature reserves, helping to spotlight Egypt’s natural beauty.

El-Kady also noted that the Authority provided all necessary support for the success of these events.

Since 2019, the Egyptian General Authority for Tourism Promotion has sponsored similar tours under the "Helwa Ya Baladi" initiative.

The Hawks Egypt Club has previously organized trips through several Egyptian governorates, including Fayoum, Beni Suef, Aswan, and South Sinai, promoting domestic tourism across the country.
