Culture Minister Meets Greek Ambassador to Egypt

Culture Minister Enas Abdel Dayem met the Greek Ambassador to Egypt Nikolaos Garilidis and the Cultural Attache of the Greek Embassy yesterday. The main aim of the meeting is to enhance the cultural and artistic cooperation between the two states.

Through the meeting, Abdel Dayem praised the deep-rooted relationship between the Egyptian and the Greek civilizations throughout history. in addition, both countries are deeply connected to each other by impressive mutual heritage.

The minister expressed the importance of increasing the number of mutual cultural and artistic activities to boost the concepts of the cultural exchange between both peoples by increasing the number of virtual events organized by the various sectors of the Egyptian Minister of Culture alongside the face-to-face events.

In the same context, Garilidis highlighted Greece's intentions of continuing the cooperation of Greece's with Egypt on the cultural and artistic levels which strengthening the mutual ties between both states.

He also praised Egypt's cultural vital role in connecting the peoples of the Mediterranean to each other, furthermore, he underscored Egypt's efforts in obtaining peace in the Mediterranean.

Moreover, he expressed Greece's pleasing with its participation in various international occasions organized by Egypt. In addition, a number of projects have been discussed to support cultural activity in Egypt and Greece.
