Dr. Enas Abdel Dayem, Minister of Culture, received Mahmoud Trezeguet, the star of the Egyptian National Team and Aston Villa Team - the English football club during the conclusion of the Book Fair’s activities.
Trezeguet was chosen as one of the ambassadors of the 51st Edition of the Fair. He came from the United Kingdom specially to attend the closing ceremony and to communicate with his fans at a scheduled seminar.
Abdel Dayem said that choosing prominent Egyptian personalities as ambassadors for Cairo Book Fair comes as an attraction for young people to follow the activities of this important international event.
The minister said that the move is an example for the new generation to create a motif for the cultural promotion in and out Egypt.
The minister added that Trezeguet's professional journey is an inspiring success story that urges the young generations to realize their ambition.
She asserted that he became an ambassador of culture, besides being an honorable model for Egyptian sport.
Furthermore, the Ministry of Culture dedicated a series of printed publications including “Egypt Personality” book, The two series of “Vision” “Ma” and a T-shirt of the Book Fair, all bearing the signature of the Minister of Culture .
It is worthy of note that The Supreme Committee of Cairo the Book Fair had chosen, for the first time, number of public figures as its ambassadors.
The figures included Dr. Zahi Hawass, the former Minister of Antiquities, the great artist Samiha Ayoub, the artist Ahmed Mostafa, the international engineer Hani Azar, in addition to the international player Trezeguet.
