Crispin Glover has been sued by an alleged former partner who claims he lured her to move to Los Angeles, forced her into becoming his live-in partner, before rendering her homeless after the two had a physical altercation nearly two years ago.

According to a civil complaint filed Wednesday, Glover is being accused of “battery, fraud, wrongful eviction, malicious prosecution, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and bane act violations," stemming from a disturbing series of incidents in which Jane Doe was essentially held captive and used for sexual intercourse and free labor by Glover under false pretenses.

Doe, described as a 30-year-old British former model, claims she was “lured and manipulated” into moving to L.A. to work for the “Back to the Future” actor as his assistant in the entertainment industry.

According to the suit, the two first connected through social media in 2015, and Glover allegedly made “strange advances” and encouraged her for years to come to L.A.

In 2023, Doe and Glover met in person in Dresden, Germany, where he allegedly showed her items of Nazi memorabilia from his personal collection.

The complaint alleges that during a series of calls and correspondence in 2023, Glover “groomed Jane Doe with promises of a new life where she could start over and have a career in the entertainment industry through some sort of business relationship with him.” She ultimately moved to L.A. in early 2024.

“But when Ms. Doe took the bait and uprooted herself and moved to Los Angeles, she found herself in a disturbing situation where Mr. Glover wanted to control her actions and track her whereabouts,” the lawsuit claims.

After she refused to comply with his “increasingly bizarre and inappropriate demands,” Doe claims she was unlawfully evicted and that Glover filed false legal actions against her, including a fraudulent petition for a restraining order.

In a statement, a lawyer for Glover said, “Mr. Glover denies these baseless allegations in the strongest possible terms. The reality is that on March 2, 2024, Mr. Glover was the victim of an unprovoked felony assault by Jane Doe at his Los Angeles residence. Mr. Glover called LAPD, which came to the scene, investigated, and arrested Jane Doe. These facts are documented by law enforcement records and by the restraining order filed by Mr. Glover against Jane Doe at that time. Mr. Glover intends to vigorously defend himself and pursue all available relief. He is confident the judicial process will expose this lawsuit as a meritless fabrication.”

Glover is known for his role as the clumsy George McFly in 1985’s “Back to the Future.” His other credits include “Charlie’s Angels,” “Alice in Wonderland,” “Willard,” and “River’s Edge.”
