The festival aims to set reading sessions for this type of fiction best-selling in the year and hold several panels of discussion around the selected books. In addition, the festival will release a mystery and ask the participants to solve it.

Celebrated author Ann Cleeves who is widely known for her "Vera" and "Shetland," Andrew Child, the author of "Jack Reacher," and "Andrew Grant" were announced among the lineup of this year's event.

Moreover, the last two winners of the CLA Diamond Dogger Robert Goddard, and Martin Edwards were selected in the lineup.

The festival's Co-founder Adrian Muller said: “We pride ourselves on being open to all authors, which makes it a perse and democratic celebration of the genre."

He added: "Behind the scenes there is a team of passionate readers and volunteers, so there’s a friendly and inclusive energy at CrimeFest. Bristol is known for its vibrant, creative and independent spirit, and CrimeFest offers an exciting opportunity for writers and readers alike to meet and mingle.”
