COVID-19: PM Urges Citizens to Wear Masks during Winter Season

Egypt's Prime Minister (PM) Moustafa Madbouly said on Wednesday that the government is doing its utmost to support the Egyptian economy.

In a press conference, Madbouly added that many international reports have praised the Egyptian economy, placing great trust in its 'strength' and 'durability' to overcome this crisis, in reference to the Coronavirus pandemic.

Moreover, Madbouly said that the notable success and high growth rates achieved by Egypt lately is as a result of adherence to precautionary measures, adding that Egypt is following up with great concern the surge in Coronavirus infections around the world.

The PM also urged citizens to stick to their facemasks during winter months, to curb the expected increase in COVID-19 cases in the coming period.

On the other hand, he revealed that Egypt's President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi directed the government to consider increasing the salaries of education and health sectors' workers and employees.
