Today, Saturday, the  Ministry of Health in France showed that the number of new infections with the Coronavirus (COVID-19) has approached 2 million since the outbreak of the pandemic.

The Ministry recorded 32,095 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 during the past 24 hours, a significant increase compared to Friday when it recorded 23,794 cases.

It announced the documentation of 359 deaths, bringing the total of those who died from the virus to 4,246 deaths.

However, the French Prime Minister Jean Castex has confirmed that one in every four deaths recorded in France in the current period is caused by the Coronavirus and the health problems associated with it.

Hospitals are under increasing pressure.

Castex said that one person is being hospitalized every 30 seconds in France.

He indicated that the restrictions imposed to limit the spread of the virus will remain unchanged during the next two weeks, indicating that they have begun to lead to positive results.

He said, "We decided to keep the restrictions unchanged for at least the next 15 days."

He warned that the authorities may be forced to take additional measures in the event of a deterioration of the epidemiological situation, but he also did not rule out easing restrictions from December 1 in the event that things were moving for the better.

He stressed that the police presence will be strengthened on the streets in Paris to ensure compliance with measures to limit the spread of Corona.

He added that if the number of infected people in intensive care continues to decrease, it will be possible to reach the peak of the second wave of the Corona epidemic within the next week.

The owners of restaurants and cafes in France, according to their trade union, intend to appeal to the judiciary the government decision issued at the end of last October to close their shops in the context of combating the outbreak of the Corona pandemic.
