Colleen Hoover, author behind "It Ends with Us" and "Regretting You", has posted an update on her health after she recently revealed she had undergone treatment for cancer.

“Just clarification because of some misleading clickbait making it sound like I’m on my deathbed or something, but I do not have cancer anymore,” Hoover wrote on Facebook. “I was diagnosed sometime last year, had surgery that was successful, just finished radiation yesterday.”

“I am done and good and all is well and has been well. My doctors doctored. Hell yeah,” she concluded.

In December, Hoover revealed that she had been diagnosed with cancer, but did not share what type of cancer it was.

Last week, she said that she was undergoing radiation therapy at Texas Oncology.

“Second to last day of radiation,” read her Instagram Stories post. “I wish I could blame my hair and facial expressions on @Texas.Oncology, but they’ve been great. Hope you never need them, but highly recommend them.”

Earlier this month, Hoover said in her Instagram Stories that she believed her cancer was “likely environmental/lifestyle” caused, such as a “lack of exercise, poor diet and stress.”

The author said she had undergone genetics testing which ruled out family genetics, HPV and excessive hormones.

“I’m happy and grateful to be alive but I hate vegetables,” Hoover wrote. “I hate when I have to get off the couch. I hate sweating. I hate when science is right.”

“If you see me at the gym, don’t even tell me good job,” she added. “If you see me at a restaurant eating grilled chicken and drinking water, I’m probably real mad about it.”

Hoover said she had been in Canada shooting "Reminds of Him" when she noticed she “had recurring health issues that I continued to put off until the movie was finished.”

“When I returned home, I found out I had cancer,” she continued, adding that the cancer had “been removed through surgery” and would undergo radiation.

“While it felt huge and scary for a bit, and I had to miss out on the Regretting You premiere, and some other important career and personal moments, I just wasn’t ready to share with anyone until I knew what the outcome would be,” she ended her post.

Her latest book "Woman Down" was released on January 13, but the author noted in her post she hadn’t set up a tour yet telling fans “I wanted to make this post and be transparent about why that is,” adding, “I’m not saying I won’t be up to doing at least one signing, but I just won’t know until I know.”

Hoover said that she was okay and “relieved and lucky that it was a comparatively quick experience,” urging her fans to “listen to your body” when they feel “something was off.”

"Reminders of Him" hit theaters on March 13.
