British rock band Coldplay is set to perform live concert at Expo 2020 Dubai on February 15.
The popular group, led by Chris Martin, will perform as part of Expo 2020’s Infinite Nights Series at Al Wasl Plaza and it will be streamed online around the world.
“As a band, we always try to put togetherness and sustainability at the heart of everything we do,” Coldplay said in a statement. “It’s an honour to be invited to perform at Expo 2020 Dubai Infinite Nights for a special celebration of these two themes.”
The group has performed in UAE multiple times — the most recent one being their New Year’s Eve gig in Abu Dhabi in 2016.
Notably, the band released their latest song “Let Somebody Go” featuring American singer-actress Selena Gomez.
“Let Somebody Go” is featured on the band’s latest album, “Music of the Spheres”, which arrived last October.
The black and white music video was directed by Dave Meyers, who collaborated with Coldplay on singles “Higher Power” and “My Universe” featuring BTS.
