The runtime for A24's action epic “Civil War” has been released.
The movie has a runtime of 109 minutes, despite reports to the contrary.
While IMDb incorrectly listed the pic for a runtime of 3 hours and 15 minutes, A24 confirmed that it is under two hours long.
The movie stars Kirsten Dunst, Wagner Moura, Cailee Spaeny, Stephen McKinley Henderson, Sonoya Mizuno, Nick Offerman, and more.
Set in the near future, the movie revolves around the U.S. amid civil war, where government air strikes are used against civilians and journalists are shot on sight in the Capitol.
“A race to the White House in a near-future America balanced on the razor’s edge,” the official logline reads.
“Civil War” is directed and written by Alex Garland. A24 produces alongside Gregory Goodman and DNA’s Andrew Macdonald and Allon Reich.
DNA previously teamed with Garland for “Ex Machina”, “Annihilation”, and “Men”. Goodman’s past producing credits include “Three Kings,” “8 Mile,” “Captain Phillips” and “22 July.”
Garland received an Academy Award nomination for Best Original Screenplay for 2014’s “Ex Machina,” which also won an Oscar for achievement in visual effects.
He followed the critically acclaimed feature with 2018’s “Annihilation” and the FX series “Devs”. In 2022, A24 released Garland’s previous film “Men,” starring Jessie Buckley and Rory Kinnear.
“Civil War” hits theaters on April 26.
