Citadel Music Festival Will Continue This Year, Says Dagher

The head of Cairo Opera House Khaled Dagher indicated that the annual Citadel Music Festival aims to bring artistic pleasure to different audiences without incurring any expenses.

Dagher also noted that such festivals will continue this year as planned, despite the Cairo Opera Hous's cost reduction plan.

The festival is organized by the Cairo Opera House in cooperation with the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities.

Last year’s edition hosted 42 concerts,  and featured appearances by Ali El Haggar, Mohamed El Helou, Nadia Mostafa, violinist Yasser El Serafy, the artist Jihan Morsi-director of the Arab Music Festival- ballerina Sahar Helmy, Dr. Magdy Baghdadi- head of the art house- Abdo Abou El Magd- one of the founders of the festival- Mahmoud Afifi, supervisor of the Institute of Arabic Music.
