Cindy Obeñita Wins Miss Intercontinental 2021 in Sharm El Sheikh

Filipino Cindy Obeñita won the title of Miss Intercontinental 2021, early Saturday, at Sharm El Sheikh Museum, Egypt.

It is the second time for the Philippines to win the title between 70 other countries, from all 6 continents, that participated in the beauty pageant, following the win of Karen Gallman in 2018.

Obeñita made it to the Top 6 where she was also named Miss Intercontinental-Asia and Oceania.

The runners-up were Mexico as the first runner-up, England as the second runner-up, Seychelles- third runner-up, Canada- fourth runner-up; and the fifth runner-up was from Colombia.

The 25-year-old beauty queen said: “I don’t think that speaking a specific language is very important here in Miss Intercontinental or any pageant at all," referring to the English language, adding that "power and grace, commitment, and intelligence, is more powerful than languages."

She also showed a lot of self confidence after referring that she can win and beauty contest.

She told the Jury that she would like to be a source of hope, inspiration on the true power of beauty, which is felt on the kindness hearts and on the sincerity of spreading love and kindness.
