The Cairo International Film Festival (CIFF) participated in the Cannes film market for promoting the 44th edition of the CIFF.
Iconic actor Hussein Fahmy, the President of the CIFF, and the festival's director Amir Ramses attended the event alongside a number of artists and filmmakers.
Fahmy started his speech by mourning the death of his friend Samir Sabry who passed away on Friday and left behind a glorious career.
Last week, the CIFF announced the call for submissions for films wishing to participate in its 44th edition, held from the 13th to the 22nd of November at Cairo Opera House; submissions are open from May 15th till August 15th on the festival’s official website: www.ciff.org.eg.
The President of the CIFF Hussein Fahmy stated that the festival seeks in the 44th edition to attract perse films that represent the different cinematic movements and to explore new inspiring experiences from around the world.
