Sameh Mahran, the President of the Cairo International Festival for Contemporary, and Experimental Theatre, that veteran actress Laila Elwi will be honored at the opening ceremony of the festival.
Mahran added that among the honored icons are director Naser Abdel Meniem, director Khaled Galal, critic Galal Hafez, Giles Foreman, and Asiimwe Deborah.
The 30th edition will see the participation of 90 Egyptian, 87 Arab, and 88 international shows, including 18 performances for the international competition.
