Cairo Opera House will host a Chinese orchestra at its Grand Theater on June 10, in an event aimed at strengthening cultural ties between Egypt and China through music.
The concert's program will feature works by internationally renowned composers, including Antonín Dvořák, Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov, Johann Strauss II, Edvard Grieg and Jean Sibelius, alongside compositions by several prominent Chinese musicians.
The event comes as Egypt and China continue to deepen a relationship that spans nearly seven decades.
Egypt was the first Arab and African country to establish diplomatic relations with the People's Republic of China in 1956, laying the foundation for a strategic partnership that has expanded across trade, investment, culture, education, and infrastructure.
In recent years, cooperation has intensified under the Belt and Road Initiative, with both countries emphasizing cultural exchange as a key pillar of their growing bilateral ties.
