Veteran artist Celine Dion announced, on Thursday, that she is struggling with a serious health issue.

Therefore, her 2023 dates will be pushed to 2024 or canceled.

She said in an emotional video that she is suffering from a rare neurological disorder called "Stiff-Person Syndrome." It caused uncontrollable muscle spasms.

Dion explained: "As you know, I’ve always been an open book. And I wasn’t ready to say anything before."

She added: “But I’m ready now… ’I’ve been dealing with problems with my health for a long time, and it’s been really difficult for me to face these challenges and to talk about everything that I’ve been going through.”

“Unfortunately, these spasms affect every aspect of my daily life. Sometimes causing difficulties when I walk and not allowing me to use my vocal cords to sing the way I’m used to,” Dion revealed.

“I have to admit it’s been a struggle. All I know is singing, it’s what I’ve done all my life.”

Therefore, Dion won't start her tour in Europe in February as planned. All of her spring 2023 dates will be pushed to 2024 and 8 of her summer 2023 shows were canceled.

The shows scheduled from February 24 to April 11, 2023 will be postponed to March 6-April 22, 2024 and her summer 2023 shows between May 31-July 17 have been canceled.

Finally, the shows that are scheduled from August 26-Oct. 4, 2023 will remain on her schedule until now.
