Celeste O’Connor (Freaky, Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire) is the newest addition to the cast of "Scream 7".
O’Connor is attached to star alongside the returning Neve Campbell, as well as Isabel May, who has been tapped to play the daughter of Campbell’s final girl Sidney Prescott.
While plot details also have not yet been disclosed, the entry comes on the heels of "Scream VI", which brought in a franchise-high domestic gross exceeding $108 million in March 2023. Collectively, the long-running horror franchise has earned more than $900 million in worldwide box office receipts.
Kevin Williamson, architect of the Scream franchise who scripted the original Wes Craven-directed 1996 title, will direct from a script by Guy Busick.
Also aboard, following collaborations with the scribe on 2022’s "Scream "reboot and "Scream VI", are James Vanderbilt, William Sherak, and Paul Neinstein, who will produce for Project X Entertainment. Paramount Pictures will distribute the film, which Spyglass Media is producing.
"Scream 7" will be released in theaters worldwide on February 27, 2026.
Best known for her role in the latest movies in the Ghostbusters franchise, Afterlife and Frozen Empire, O’Connor has also been seen in Marvel’s "Madame Web" "A Good Person", "Freaky", and "Selah and the Spades". She is currently shooting the sci-fi thriller "UAP".
