On Thursday, many celebrities flocked to the Al-Rahman al-Rahim mosque, in the Abbassiya neighborhood, Cairo, for the funeral prayer of late renowned Egyptian actress, Maha Abou Ouf.
The body of the late actress arrived in the afternoon at the mosque, where her family and friends performed the funeral prayer before Abou Ouf's burial at her family's cemetery, in El Basatin.
Elham Shahin, Yousry Nasrallah, Donia Samir Ghanem, Riham Abdel Ghafour, Ashraf Zaki, Amr Arafa, Mohamed Al-Adl, Ayman Azb, Mounir Makram, were among the celebrities who attended the funeral.
Abou Ouf passed away early Thursday at the age of 65 after a struggle with illness.
The late actress had been battling cancer in the past period. She was also hospitalized recently with severe pneumonia and remained in intensive care until her final days.
The late star had graduated from the American University in Cairo (AUC) and then launched her artistic career in 1979 along with her late brother and three sisters – Mona, Manal, and Mervat – through the “The Four M” band, which had a long-lasting impact on the Egyptian pop scene.
Abou Ouf had left behind a son Sharif from her second marriage and her third husband Omar Al Manzalawi.
