Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) has directed commercial banks to continue to exempt clients of the banking system from fees and commissions for cash withdrawals from Automated Teller Machines (ATM) and to continue exempting customers from all expenses and commissions for all bank transfer services in Egyptian pounds until the end of June 2021.
The Central Bank had also approved these exemptions in an electronic payment initiative introduced last May as part of the precautionary measures to confront the Coronavirus (known also as COVID-19) until the end of this year.
