CBE: Banks' Net Profits Record EGP 45.549 Billion

The net profits of banks operating in the Egyptian market recorded about EGP 45.549 billion by the end of September 2020.

A report of the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) revealed that the net return amounted to EGP 110.670 billion, and the net  revenues were recorded at about EGP 132.208 billion by the end of September, while total expenditures recorded about EGP 86.659 billion.

Profits of the top 10 banks in the Egyptian market amounted to about EGP 29.852 billion, to account for 65.5% of the total profits of the banking sector.

The net return of the top banks amounted to about EGP 73.975 billion, and the net activity revenues recorded about EGP 87.521 billion, while the total expenses recorded about EGP 57.669 billion.
