The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) has announced that all banks operating in the Egyptian market will suspend business on Thursday in observance of the anniversary of the July 23 Revolution, granting employees across the banking sector an official public holiday.
The decision aligns with the Egyptian government's official holiday calendar and commemorates one of the country's most significant national occasions.
According to the Central Bank, normal banking operations will resume on Sunday, July 26, 2026, when all bank branches are scheduled to reopen and provide their full range of services to customers.
While physical branches will remain closed during the holiday, the CBE confirmed that automated teller machines (ATMs), electronic payment systems, and digital banking channels will continue operating normally to ensure uninterrupted access to financial services throughout the holiday period.
