Catherine Zeta-Jones, Charli XCX Join Movie "The Gallerist"

MRC is set to independently finance Cathy Yan’s new movie, "The Gallerist", starring  Natalie Portman and Jenna Ortega.

The company also unveiled the rest of the cast for the pic, which includes Oscar and Tony winner Catherine Zeta-Jones, Grammy nominee Charli xcx, Oscar winner Da’Vine Joy Randolph, Emmy winner Sterling K. Brown, Emmy nominee Zach Galifianakis, and Golden Globe nominee Daniel Brühl.

Written by Yan and James Pedersen, the movie follows a desperate gallerist who conspires to sell a dead body at Art Basel Miami. 

"The Gallerist" is produced by Ash Sarohia and Jonathan King  from Concordia Studio; Sophie Mas and Portman from MountainA; Tom McCarthy, and Rae Baron from Slow Pony; and Zola Elgart Glassman.

It’s in pre-production now and is set to shoot at the end of this year.

MRC is currently prepping Emerald Fennell’s "Wuthering Heights", starring Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi. The indie studio recently announced that its romantic drama "All of You," starring Brett Goldstein and Imogen Poots, will debut on Apple TV+ in 2025.
