Egyptian actress Caroline Azmy has recently joined the cast of Amir Karara and Sherif Mounir's TV series "Ras Al Afaa".
Mohamed Bakir directs the drama from a script by Hani Sarhan.
The series marks the first collaboration between Karara and Mounir and witnesses their comeback to the drama marathon after opting to skip this season.
Karara made his last participation in the marathon with the 2024 TV series "Beit Al Refai", and Mounir with the TV series "Wbaena Etneen".
"Ras Al Afaa" consists of 30 episodes and centers around a terrorism officer and his work to defeat violent extremism.
Mounir will play the role muslim Brotherhood leader Mahmoud Ezzat.
Ezzat was in charge of setting up the armed wing of the terrorist organization and was overseeing terrorist operations that were committed by the MB organization in Egypt after June 30 Revolution.
He was involved in many terrorist operations such as the assassination of attorney general Hisham Barakat in 2015, the assassination of Brigadier Wael Tahoun in 2015 and the assassination of Brigadier Adel Ragai in 2016 along with attacking the National Cancer Institute with a booby-trapped car in 2019 leaving 20 people dead and 47 others wounded.
"Ras Al Afaa" is considered one of the most anticipated TV series in the drama marathon.
