The exhibition, which is being held at Bait El-Suhaymi at El-Moez street, will continue until May 6; the visitors consider this exhibition as an important meeting place and venue for conducting interview.
Fawzi Morsi, a member of the association, reported that the caricature was the idea of Zuhdi El-Adawi, an artist, which began after the 1952 revolution and it faced many difficulties until the assembly began in 1984.
Zuhdi refused to become the association chairman, and allowed Mohammed Rakha, a famous artist; later it was chaired by the great artist Mustafa Hussein.
Morsi explained that the importance of caricature art declined regionally and globally. As a result, the association cooperates with the Culture and Youth Ministry to spread the caricature art and its education, as well as organizing seminars and workshops in Egypt governorates .
Meanwhile, the association succeeded in creating great artistic communiction between the Egyptian artist and the world artists, through international exhibitions.
The annual International Caricature Forum is considered as the most important event which includes 15 countries. It also hosts Arab and foreign artists to establish their exhibitions in Egypt and communicate with the Egyptian people.
