American rapper Cardi B already has plans for her third album.
The 31-year-old Grammy winner shared Monday on social media what she will do for her third album following the release of her highly anticipated sophomore LP, which has yet to see a drop date materialize.
She shared an Instagram Story on Sunday, which included her singing along to her Peso Pluma collaboration “Put Em in the Fridge.”
In the Story, the "Bodak Yellow" rapper asked followers if they would want a Spanish language album from her. Almost 480,000 people voted and 79% of that vote was in support of the possibility — her influx of support included over 380,120 people voting in favor.
Then on Monday, she reposted the poll to her Stories and wrote, “OK AFTER MY ENGLISH ALBUM.”
The rapper's fans have been anxiously awaiting the follow-up to her 2018 debut studio album "Invasion of Privacy".
The album spawned two No. 1 Billboard Hot 100 singles, the diamond-certified “Bodak Yellow” and “I Like It.” She also won the Grammy for Best Rap Album for the record, topping Pusha T, Mac Miller, Travis Scott and Nipsey Hussle.
Since her debut, Cardi B has dropped several chart-topping singles and a number of collaborations since then, but remains tightlipped on what's to come from her sophomore album.
In May, she shared on X (formerly known as Twitter) that although the rapper previously shared she’d be releasing an album in 2024 that is no longer happening.
She wrote: “Anyway NO album this year I don't care I'm relaxing this year ..Dropping these features I already committed to and traveling and enjoying my summer.”
