Cardi B is ready for her next movie. The 27-year-old singer will appear in the next installment of the Fast and Furious franchise, "Fast & Furious 9".
The movie protagonist, Vin Diesel, made the news public in an Instagram post with the rapper.
“I’m tired, but I can’t wait,” Cardi B added. “I ain’t gonna front, I think this is going to be the best one.”
The film is written by Chris Morgan and Daniel Casey, and directed by Justin Lin, who directed “Fast & Furious 6,”.
The ninth installment co-starring Diesel starring as Dominic Toretto, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Jordana Brewster, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Helen Mirren, Charlize Theron, John Cena, Finn Cole, and Anna Sawai.
Latin music’s fastest-rising stars, Ozuna had recently joined the cast, who is also in talks to join the film’s soundtrack.
However, the film will not include Dwayne Johnson as "Luke Hobbs" and Jason Statham as "Deckard Shaw", who starred in the spinoff “Hobbs and Shaw”.
In 2018, Johnson stated that he was unsure if he was returning for the ninth film due to working on the spin-off, and confirmed earlier this year that he would not be appearing in the film.
The movie's shooting began on June 24, 2019, in England, which will also feature scenes in Los Angeles, Scotland, Georgia, and in Thailand, which will take place for the first time.
