Hobbs & Shaw Tops Box Office With $83,1 Million

Fast & Furious: Hobbs & Shaw movie occupied the first spot in the worldwide box office with $83,1 million this week.

The American movie, starring Dwayne Johnson, Jason Statham, and Idris Elba, smashed the records with $60 million on its first two days.

The film is a spinoff of Fast and Furious series with Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham reprising their franchise roles as Luke Hobbs and Deckard Shaw.

The Lion King came second with $60,4 million. The American movie, starring Donald Glover, Beyoncé, and Seth Rogen, dominated the first spot in the box office for the last two weeks.

The computer-animated musical film, which rocked theaters on July 9, is directed by Jon Favreau and produced by Jon Favreau, Jeffrey Silver, and Karen Gilchrist.

Once Upon a Time in Hollywood ranked third with $29,9 million. The comedy film, starring Leonardo DiCaprio as Rick Dalton, Brad Pitt as Cliff Booth, and Margot Robbie as Sharon Tate, bucked the theaters on July 26.

Spider-Man: Far from Home, starring Tom Holland, Samuel L. Jackson, and Jake Gyllenhaal, took the fourth position with $13 million. It is the twenty-third movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, following Avengers: Endgame, released in April.

The fifth spot went to Toy Story 4 with $12,2 million. The American computer-animated comedy film, which rocked theaters on June 21, came in the fourth position last week with $17,1 million.
