CAPMAS: Egypt's Import of Beans Reached $25 Mln Last October

Egypt's imports of broad beans recorded a slight increase in the recent period, as they reached about $25768000 last October, compared to $24458000 in October 2019, with an increase of about one $1310000, according to the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS).

The data issued by CAPMAS said that Egypt's imports of beans came within Egypt's imports of non-durable consumer goods during last October, which declined significantly and amounted to about $117000000, compared to $1243000000 in the same month in 2019, down by $226612000.

The list of non-durable consumer goods included live cows and buffaloes worth $3427000 last October, a decrease of $7283000 from October of 2019. It was followed by dairy imports, which amounted to $40721000 last October, a decrease of $7206000 for the same month in 2019.

The apple imports, which decreased to $39855000 last October, a decrease of $7582000 from the same month in 2019.

The COMPAS monthly bulletin of foreign trade data last October said that the value of the trade balance deficit amounted to $2.9 billion during October 2020, compared to $4.1 billion for the same month in 2020, a decrease of 28.8%.
