Cairo is preparing to host the official announcement conference for Egypt’s hosting of the third edition of the World Entrepreneurship Festival 2026, one of the largest entrepreneurship events in Africa and the wider world.
The conference is set to take place next Saturday under the patronage of Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, with the participation of senior government officials, investors, entrepreneurs and representatives of local and international media.
The event will announce Egypt’s hosting of the festival following two successful editions in Nigeria and Ghana. The festival is scheduled to take place from 6 to 8 November and is expected to bring together leading entrepreneurs, investors, business figures and influencers from Africa, the Middle East and beyond.
Egypt’s selection to host the third edition reflects its growing position as a regional centre for entrepreneurship, investment and innovation, supported by its economic weight and strategic location linking African markets with regional and international economies.
The festival is chaired by Dr Summy Smart Francis, President of the World Entrepreneurship Festival Africa. Baher Mounir Ghabbour will serve as President of the Egyptian edition, while Ambassador Nabila Makram will act as Secretary-General of the third edition in Egypt.
The organising committee aims to attract more than 10,000 in-person participants from over 70 countries, in addition to more than 100 exhibitors and over 60 international speakers, including government, economic and investment leaders.
The announcement conference is expected to be attended by ministers, senior government officials, ambassadors, representatives of diplomatic missions and development institutions, as well as investors, company executives, entrepreneurs and media representatives.
Egypt won the right to host the third edition after an international competition, reflecting confidence in its organisational capabilities and regional standing.
