An exhibition of works by renowned Egypt plastic artist Jehan Badran El-Bashbishi will kick off at Ziad Bakir hall of the Cairo Opera House, on Thursday, Dec. 29, and will run through to Tuesday, Jan.3.
Titled ‘Roots’, the exhibition will present a collection of El-Bashbishi's stunning paintings depicting the nature of her childhood village, daily life and how she was raised in the countryside.
The show is being held under the auspices of Egypt’s Culture Minister Neveen El Kilani and the head of Cairo Opera House Magdy Saber. "The exhibition includes 60 paintings of different sizes on Egypt's heritage and nature such as, countryside, mosques, houses, etc," revealed El-Bashbishi, who participated in the Academy of Arts Exhibition 2022.
It's worth mentioning that El-Bashbishi's works reflect the Egyptian environment. Through her paintings, you discover the beauty of Egypt's culture as she portrays the landscapes and countryside buildings. Her paintings represent the life of Egyptian ordinary people.
