On Saturday, Cairo Film Society concluded its 47th, and 48th editions activities by the award ceremony at Cairo Opera House.
"200 Gneh" by Mohamed Amin and "Curfew" by Amir Ramsis won film won the festival's first prizes among that 24 participants.
Regarding the prizes of the 47th edition, "Curfew" won the majority of them as it was awarded the prizes of the Film Poster Design for Youssef Adel, Best Interior Design and Decor for Assem Ali, Best Soundtrack for Tamer Karawan, Best Editing for Heba Othman, and Best Cinematography for Omar Abo Doma.
Furthermore, Ramses had two prizes for Best Direction and Best Script Writing. Elham Shahin was awarded the Best Actress prize, while Amina Khalil won the prize of the Best Second Role Actress. Kamel El Pasha won the Best Second Role Actor award.
In the same context, Hanan Motawie won Jury's Prize for her role in "Youm Wa Liela" film, and Asser Yassin won the Best Actor prize for his appearance in "Saheb Al Maqam."
Moving to the awards of the 48th edition, "Bara Al Manhag" won the Best Script Amr Salama and Khaled Deyab, Best Direction for Amr Salama, Best Actor for Maged Al Kedwani, and Best Second Role Actress for Donia Maher, alongside the prize of the Best Film.
Ahmed Fahmy was awarded the Second Role Actor prize for his appearance in "Al Aa'ref" film.
"Abu Sadam" was awarded the Special Jury Award, and "Fragile" won the prize of the First Feature for Ahmed Rashwan.
Regarding the winners of the festival's polls, they were "You Will Die at 20," "Gaza Mon Amour," and "It Must Be Heaven."
